LASH EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE

  • The eyelids and lashes should be thoroughly washed twice daily in the am/pm with Lash Wash to dissolve any buildup.

  • Avoid waterproof mascara because removing it from your lashes can cause a hard wearing action that can contribute to pulling them out prematurely.

  • If all waterproof mascara is not removed it can act like a glue to bind extensions together, increasing the chances of having them pull out.

  • Regular mascara is acceptable but it can cause more wear and tear.

  • Use an oil free makeup remover or specialty remover if you wear liquid, creamy, or pencil eyeliners. They can tend to build up along the base of the lashes if not entirely removed and cause the extensions to stick together.

  • Do not curl your lashes with a lash curler as it will prematurely put a kink in the extensions and can cause them to pull out.

  • DO NOT attempt to remove your extensions on your own or with any product. They must be professionally removed or allowed to fall out on their own. If you attempt to remove them you could experience temporary lash loss.

Allergy

An allergy to the adhesive sometimes develops, often not before a minimum of 3 months’prior exposure.

  • If you develop an allergy, you will most likely experience swelling of the eyelid the day after your third lash application.

  • If you experience an allergic reaction you are advised to contact an ophthalmologist for a prescription for a topical steroid that can be used (in the future as well) to prevent the lid swelling. If you choose to see a physician you assume financial responsibility of the visit.

  • The use of Visine drops are not recommended after a treatment as that can irritate the eyes. If desired, we recommend the use of artificial tears.
